Bon Iver is the solo project of singer/songwriter Justin Vernon, who gained acclaim with his 2008 debut album, "For Emma, Forever Ago," recorded in isolation in a Wisconsin cabin. His soulful falsetto and intimate indie folk sound resonated widely. He followed up with a self-titled album in 2011, expanding his sound. The project continued to evolve, with a detour into electronica on "22, A Million" (2016) and a return to a cohesive blend of styles on "I, I" (2019). Along the way, Bon Iver collaborated with artists like Kanye West, won Grammy Awards, and maintained a strong presence in the indie music scene. Justin Vernon's journey began after his indie folk band DeYarmond Edison disbanded, leading him to create Bon Iver in 2006.
