Under Russell's guidance, Nakamura developed a deep understanding of jazz theory and composition, which formed the basis for his innovative musical style. Since 1994, after moving to New York City, he has collaborated with artists such as Quincy Jones, David Byrne, and Arto Lindsay. Known for pushing musical boundaries, Nakamura combines his strong jazz background with modern electronic music in his recent projects. He is considered a pioneer in the contemporary music scene, driven by passion, creativity, and the ability to connect diverse styles.
